Happy Birthday Big Mama!

She is 91 and doing great!  We went to the lake today to enjoy her birthday with family.

We had a great showing with Uncle Skeet and Aunt Diane, Uncle Donald and Aunt Kathy, Uncle David and Aunt Connie, Dad and Patsy, Robin and Alexis and cousins...Bradley and Lea, Megan and Taylor, Meredith and her friend Collier (All you have to do is ask Collier...)  We missed Jennifer and Matthew!

Several Boat rides, great bar b que, dips and fun time with the family!

What did I do today?

Photography for our upcoming catalog...what does that entail you wonder?

This is the process we will do 4 times this year over the next week or so!

- Load up the furniture in two big trucks.  How many pieces?  

- 8 dining chairs

- 1 60" Dining Table

- 4 end tables

- 1 Coffee table

- 1 Single Chaise

- 2 swivel rocker dining chairs

- 2 deep seating chairs

- 2 deep seating swivel rocker chairs

- 1 Double Chaise

- 1 Sectional ( Two Loveseats, One single extender seat, One Corner Piece)

- 1 three seat sofa

- 6 heavy ceramic pots with artificial hedge plants

- 4 flats of Vincas

- 4 Ferns, three yellow plants that I should know the name of (Lindsay actually knew the name...Lantana for, 2 rosemary plants, 5 Always In Bloom pots (planted) 

- 4 fiberclay containers

- Drive to the Location ( Guy and Lauren Hood.  Beautiful Home!  We appreciate them allowing us to come and use their patio)  Luckily we were able to stay in Montgomery this time instead of driving to Birmingham.

- Unload what we just loaded a couple of hours earlier.  Please reread the list above.

- Move their furniture.

- Set our furniture.

- Style it...don't worry we are experts at style.

- Set up the photography equipment...test the cameras and make sure the lighting is correctly set.

- Photograph three different groupings...a thousand times each.

- Close up shots for furniture and accessory detail.

- Discuss if we really have the shots we need and if they will be good...should we take a few more?

- Sit and stare at the furniture, knowing that we are about to move on to the next step.

- Load up all the pieces from the list above.  Please reread the list.

- Move all the of their furniture back to where it was...

- Clean up the place.

- Drive back to our office on Wetumpka Highway from past Macon East Academy on Vaughn Rd.

- Started at 8 am and ended the day by arriving home at 9:30 pm.

- Unload the furniture and put it back in the showroom...

I know this has intrigued you, so look forward to the pictures we took in a future post.

 Side Note - Thank you Billy for being our photographer, big truck driver, assistant stylist, and all around good guy.

Trip to Costco

Thursday night Lani, Ella and I went to Costco so that mommy could have some time to get some things done...If Lindsay ever needs some time, that is where we go.  I think I could go there at least once a week for entertainment.  

We were able to sample some food while we were there and pick up a few things we needed...On the way there Lani made me a list b/c she probably already realizes that I have a horrible short term memory.  

A couple of comments and suggestions:

- We buy the red seedless grapes at Costco...we freeze them and then eat them in a night or two.  Great snack.

- There are some lime tortilla chips at Costco...I believe they are called Coronados? Great Chips.  They are buy one get one free till the end of the month and may actually* lower your cholesterol.

- I bought and paid for a 5 disc set of Classical Guitar music for $9.99 and did not even know it till I got to the car. Lani or Ella?  I think Ella put it in there!

- Did you know that cocktail sausages are a seasonal item @ Costco?
